Native Mission School Sees Successful Graduation
Better Way Foundation – and previously Sieben Foundation –  has supported Red Cloud Indian Mission School, both directly and through our support of the Native Mission Schools Network. The Foundation actively supports the professional development of teachers and administrators, enhances community involvement, strengthens Lakota language teaching, and improves the academic preparation of Red Cloud students through better use of research and data to guide classroom instruction and assessment.Red Cloud recently graduated another class of successful seniors who are beating the odds.  In a community where 89 percent of residents are unemployed and just 12 percent of the population holds a bachelor’s degree, these young people are evidence that education can be a gateway to new horizons.  Students from this year’s graduating class will attend Stanford University, Creighton University, Kansas State University, University of Kentucky, South Dakota State University and many others.Better Way Foundation is proud to be partnering with Red Cloud Indian School to improve education outcomes for its 600 Lakota students.
