Recently, Better Way Foundation’s partners working in the Mwanza and Kagera regions of Tanzania came together for ten days of training and site visits to learn from one another’s work. The partners received training in documenting and sharing case studies and success stories, as well as networking. They also participated in five days of site visits to observe, share and learn from each individual organization’s work in the field. Partners were able to see elements of programming, including early childhood education promotion, teacher training and classroom materials development, women’s microfinance groups, youth development activities and legal assistance for vulnerable women and children.
The learning tour generated a multitude of new ideas for program innovation and growth among BWF partners. Additionally, the partners began to establish a vision for how they might continue to convene as a group, in order to develop improved resource sharing and stronger advocacy for early childhood development throughout the region.
