Better Way Partner City Expands to Minneapolis and St. Paul
This year, City Connects, a model of student support pioneered for young children in Boston’s Catholic schools through Better Way funding, received approval for expansion to the Twin Cities through GHR Foundation. This will bring intervention to more than five Catholic schools in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area over the next three years.

A program of Boston College, City Connects brings a tested data-driven model that can be an integral part of closing the achievement gap in other communities across the United States. Better Way Foundation has long collaborated with City Connects to focus on providing student support in the earliest years of education. In the Twin Cities, this innovative program will connect urban Catholic school students with community resources to meet their out-of-school needs. From tutoring to housing support, City Connects works to surround learners with the services they need to significantly improve student achievement.

Better Way Foundation is eager to witness the expansion of a coordinated, comprehensive, evidence-based approach to student support that can have a significant and lasting impact on student achievement. To learn more, watch this Better Way-funded video or contact us.
