Nat Robinson

Nat Robinson is the former chief executive officer and founder of Juhudi Kilimo Company Limited, which provides micro-asset financing to rural smallholder farmers in Kenya and is supported by the Acumen Fund, Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Grameen Foundation and the Soros Economic Development Fund. He is a Rainer Arnhold Fellow with the Mulago Foundation and has served on the board of the Kenyan Association of Microfinance Institutions.
Prior to being appointed the CEO of Juhudi Kilimo in 2010, Robinson served as the company’s CFO through a sponsorship from the UNDP and IFC African Management Services Company. He previously worked on a short-term project in Kenya with the K-Rep Development Agency and the Grassroots Business Fund. Robinson worked for Accenture as a financial consultant in China and the United States.
Juhudi Kilimo was recognized in 2013 by CIO Magazine’s CIO 100 list of companies using innovative technology to deliver business value, and in 2011 with the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the World Economic Forum. Robinson has traveled, worked or studied in more than 60 countries across six continents in the areas of business, nonprofit and government.
Robinson recently published a book, Creating a Cash Cow in Kenya. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University.
