Sister Gemma Doll, OP

Sister Gemma Doll has been a Dominican sister for more than 40 years. During the 1990s, she served as clinical director for a county public health department in Kansas and headed an indigent care clinic that achieved federal funding.
Doll previously taught pediatric nursing at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and was medical director of five Headstart programs. As a young sister, she was missioned to Nigeria to teach nursing, and later worked short-term for Catholic Relief Services in Thailand and Lebanon, assisting with relief in the midst of crisis and war. For most of her life, Doll has worked in pediatric nursing and leadership in her religious congregation.
Doll earned a master of science in nursing degree from the University of Colorado.
