Welcome to Better Way Foundation’s summer research intern: Mariah Mendez

06/7/24

We are delighted to announce that Mariah Mendez has joined the Better Way Foundation as a summer research intern. Mariah, an MPH candidate at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, comes to us with a blend of academic excellence and practical experience in health policy management, human rights, and ethics.

Mariah will apply her skills in data management, policy analysis, and advocacy to contribute to projects aimed at enhancing community health and well-being, and her work will focus on building out our thought leadership and influencer strategy. She will be instrumental in researching and synthesizing the state of foundation support for Indian Country, identifying prospective foundations for investment, and understanding where Better Way should be present to engage these foundations. Additionally, she will help develop objectives for consideration in our next strategic plan. She is deeply committed to promoting human rights and brings a culturally holistic approach to Better Way’s initiatives.

We are excited to have Mariah on board and look forward to the impactful contributions she will make during her time with us. Please join us in welcoming Mariah to the Better Way Foundation team!
